Fine Art Canvas Prints

Our fine art stretched canvas prints are an archival, museum quality reproduction that will never go out of style. Some people call this a Giclee. Abel’s paintings and illustrations transfer beautifully to canvas and we’ve searched far and wide to find the best of the best. Our prints and frames are made with pride in Portland, OR.

Museum Quality Canvas & Inks

Only the good stuff… we use a heavyweight 22 mil, 400 gsm , durable Poly-Cotton blend canvas with a delicious satin finish that is ideal for fine art reproductions that's manufactured in Texas.  It’s archival certified and OBA free. (OBA’s – Optical Brightener Additives can result in some nasty color shifts in the material and artwork over time… not good).   Independent testing by a UKAS-accredited laboratory has concluded that our Canvas exceeds the standards set forth by the Fine Art Trade Guild for pH and light fastness.  Pass these prints down to the grand kids.

Assembly & Details

Milled in America, our canvas prints are stretched and stapled around 1.5″ deep, kiln-dried, Poplar hardwood stretcher bars. Abel chooses a solid color for the “museum wrap” edges of each canvas print based on the artwork, most of the time it’s black.  Each print has the title and size printed on the back. We wire these with professional soft touch gallery wire with felt pads on the corners.  They are ready to hang out of the box.

Shipping

Each print is hand-made,  just for you. Expect your canvas print to ship within 7-9 business days of placing your order. We pack these up with extra love in custom boxes to ensure they arrive to you safe and sound.  Prints ship via FedEx and if your order is $300 or more, delivery will require a signature to receive the package.

For International orders, shipping a large canvas print can get insanely expensive, if the shipping estimate at Check-Out is beyond what you expected, contact us to discuss shipping your canvas prints rolled and unstretched to save some cost, but know you will then have to pay for the canvas to be stretched by a framer in your area. Also, you will be responsible for paying any import taxes or customs duties in your country, so please research these potential costs before placing an order.

Professional Wood Float Frames

We are so stoked to now offer professional wood float frames for our canvas prints. Our print partner just happens to be the best quality framer in the PNW. These contemporary wood float frames don’t have a lip that goes over the artwork and the canvas appears to “float” in the middle of the frame, adding about 1 1/2 inches to both width and height of a canvas size and rise about 1/4 above the surface of the canvas. They are beautiful! Available in 3 popular color/finishes: Black, Espresoo Brown & Natural.

Each canvas print in the SHOP has example images in all 3 frame colors.

Framed canvas prints all come with a black paper, protective dust cover over the backs. A title and size label, professional soft touch hanging wire and felt numbers are attached over the paper.

Black

A smooth, solid, matte black painted finish, no wood grain.

Espresso Brown

A rich, dark brown stain, showing wood grain.

Natural

A light wood color showing natural wood grain.

Print Care

As with any art print in the world, on any material, it’s always a good idea to keep it out of direct sunlight if possible.  UV rays are no joke when you are made of ink and organic material.

Your canvas print can be gently wiped clean with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust or spilled or splattered liquids.

Our fine art paper prints are fragile and susceptible to scratches and finger prints. We recommend washing your hands before handling and framing behind protective glass or plexiglass.
